Each Character will be able to equip either one 2-Hand Weapon or two 1-Hand weapons.
While each weapon type tends lean towards providing a specific stat bonus to the character who has it equipped, they will sometimes provide something completely different. 2-Hand weapons will on average be twice as stronger than 1-Hand weapons both in damage and stats provided to the player.
These are the weapon types present in the game and the stats that they will tend to provide:
- Great Sword (2-Hand Weapon): +Strength. Great swords will usually tend to have more on-hit effects than great axes and great maces.
- Great Axe (2-Hand Weapon): +Strength and + Armor Penetration.
- Great Mace (2-Hand Weapon): +Strength and +Hit Points.
- Polearm (2-Hand Weapon): +Agility. High critical chance.
- Sword (1-Hand Weapon): +Strength. Swords will usually tend to have more on-hit effects than axes and maces.
- Axe (1-Hand Weapon): +Strength and + Armor Penetration.
- Mace (1-Hand Weapon): +Strength and +Hit Points.
- Shield (1-Hand Weapon): While not technically a weapon, I decided to include shields here due to the fact that they are equipped in weapon slots. Shields usually increase Armor and Magic Armor.
- Dagger (1-Hand Weapon): +Agility. High critical chance.
- Staff (2-Hand Weapon): +Intellect, +Mana gain, +Magic Power and +Healing Power.
- Wand (1-Hand Weapon): +Intellect, +Mana gain, +Magic Power and +Healing Power.
- Tome (1-Hand Weapon): +Intellect, +Magic Penetration, +Magic Power and +Healing Power.
- Instrument (2-Hand Weapon): +Intellect, +Agility and +Healing Power.
